1. About the storefront

2. Catalogue and requests for quotation

The storefront currently operates on a request-for-quotation basis. Adding an item to a cart or submitting an RFQ is a request for information and does not itself create a sale or oblige Frantech Electronics to supply the item.

A transaction becomes binding only when we accept it in writing through a quotation, order confirmation, invoice or other written agreement. The accepted document will state the applicable price, VAT, payment terms, delivery charges, lead time and any product-specific conditions.

3. Product information and availability

We take reasonable care to keep descriptions, images, specifications and availability current. They may nevertheless contain errors or change without notice. Images are illustrative unless expressly stated otherwise. We will confirm material specifications, stock, price and lead time before accepting an order.

4. Accounts and submitted information

You must provide accurate, current information and keep account credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised use. You may not impersonate another person or submit information you are not authorised to provide.

5. Payment, delivery and risk

Payment and delivery are governed by the accepted quotation, order confirmation or invoice. Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. Ownership and risk pass at the point stated in the accepted transaction documents and subject to applicable law.

6. Cancellations, returns and warranties

Cancellation, return and warranty terms may depend on the item, whether it was specially sourced or manufactured, and the accepted quotation. Contact us before returning goods so that we can provide instructions. These terms do not exclude rights available under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, or other applicable law.

7. Repairs, design and other services

Repair, research and development, engineering and other services may be subject to a separate scope of work, assessment, quotation or service agreement. If those terms conflict with these website terms, the service-specific written agreement applies to that service.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use the website to:

• break any law, infringe another person’s rights or submit unlawful material;
• probe, bypass or interfere with security, access controls or service availability;
• introduce malware, automate abusive traffic or scrape protected information; or
• misrepresent your identity, authority or relationship with another person.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website or its users.

9. Intellectual property

The website, branding, original content and software are owned by or licensed to Frantech Electronics. You may use the website for legitimate personal or business purchasing purposes, but may not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit protected material without permission. Third-party product names and marks belong to their respective owners.

10. Availability and liability

We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. This clause does not exclude liability or statutory protection that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from fraud or gross negligence.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information when you use the website or do business with us.

12. Governing law and disputes

South African law governs these terms. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern promptly. Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from using a regulator, ombud, tribunal or court available under applicable law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our services or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the version that applies. Material changes apply prospectively unless the law requires otherwise.
